Ethiopian Airlines:

Ethiopian Airlines, often referred to as Ethiopian, is a flag carrier of the nation. The Airline is recognized as one of Africa’s leading carriers by giving operational success at the speed of wind. Operating at the forefront of technology, the airline has become an institution and an industry in Africa. Being a Star Alliance member, the airline is headquartered at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa from where it serves 125 plus international and 21 domestic destinations operating the latest fleet.


Services:
  • The two classes available on most of the Ethiopian airlines are Cloud Nine and Economy Class. When it comes to food and drinks then on all flights, passengers flying with the airline have a benefit of complimentary beverages on board, applying both the classes. The food service includes hot meals, light refreshments, hot or cold snacks depending on the duration of the flight and the time of the day. The passengers also have the choice of choosing their special drinks at an extra cost in the airline.
  • In-Flight Entertainment
  • The passengers travelling in the business class of Ethiopian Airlines’ are given on-board amenities and a wide collection of reading materials. On routes which are operated with Boeing 777-200LR equipment are also given sleeper seats and an on-demand audio and video service with 85 channels on 15.4 inch IFE screens.
  • The passengers travelling in the economy class of Ethiopian Airlines’ are given a variety of meals ranging from light snacks to hot dishes along with amenities such as reclining seats and on-demand audio and video service with 80 channels and 8.9 inch screens.
  • Ethiopian Airlines offers two lounges at the Bole International Airport. Cloud Nine passengers can wait for the departure of the flights at the Cloud Nine lounge where they can enjoy the amenities like personal computers or wireless connection. The ShebaMiles cardholders with Gold or silver status can make use of the ShebaMiles Lounge facilities. You can find customer service agents available at both lounges for assisting with any problems in their flights.

Fly Dubai

Flydubai, legally known to be Dubai Aviation Corporation is a budget airline owned by the government in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline has their head office and flight operations in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport. It operates to 95 destinations, serving the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and Dubai. The flydubai fleet includes Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX 8, Boeing 737 MAX 9 and Boeing 737 MAX 10.

Founded in 2008 as a venture by the Government of Dubai, it had its initial intentions to operate from the new Al-Maktoum International Airport in the Dubai World Centre in Jebel Ali. The airline has set up its first ‘Indian Development Centre in Hyderabad where it leads flydubai’s IT and technology innovation where it focuses on Passenger Service Systems along with other things.


Services:
  • In economy class of the airline, passengers get full meal services in some of the European and Africa destinations. Snacks and beverages can be purchased after the main service is finished. Flights which are within the network, there passengers will have an option to pre-book a hot meal and on flights for shorter duration will have a full menu of wraps and sandwiches available. Purchases could be done through the personal touch screens in each seat or from the crews.
  • In business class the airline offers a choice of snacks, mels and drinks, an access to over 200 films, blanket and pillows, a power outlet and noise-cancelling headphones. The services extend at selected airports where they are offered with priority check-in and fast track through the security. The lounge at Dubai International Airport has free Wi-Fi, Refreshments and Snacks.
  • The safety video features characters from the computer-animated television series Freej where the central character in the video is the flight attendant. The airline passengers can have their baggage transferred to connecting Emirates and fly dubai flights while they check in their flights.

Air Burkina

Air Burkina is the national airline of Burkina Faso. It was established on 17th March 1967 under the name Air Volta. It operates its scheduled services from the main base at Ouagadougou Airport to Bobo-Dioulasso(domestic destination) along with regional services at Togo, Benin, Mali, Niger, Côte d’lvoire, Senegal and Ghana. From 2001 to 2017, the airline was owned by AKFED/IPS consortium but as of now the government owns it. The airline’s current fleet consists of Embraer E-170.

Air Cote d’Ivoire

Air Cote d’Ivoire is the flag carrier of Ivory Coast, based in Abidjan. The company has succeeded the country’s former flag carrier Air Ivoire which went bankrupt in the year 2011. The airline currently has a fleet of Airbus A319- 100, Airbus A319neo, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo and De Havilland Dash 8-400.

In the year 2012, the airline had initial plans of operating scheduled services in Abidjan on a network covering nine international destinations in West and East Africa where some of it were flown by its sister companies. Cities served were expected to consist of Accra, Conakry, Cotonou and Dakar. The company also planned to have 13 flight captains, 12 first officers and 37 cabin crew members. The key person in initiating the flight is CEO Laurent Loukou.

Asky

ASKY Airlines is a private-sector airline which serves West and Central Africa. The airline has its head office in Lomé, Togo and has its hub at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport. The flight is a strategic partner with Ethiopian Airlines and has seen an increase in profit. The current fleet comprises Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800. The airline serves 19 scheduled destinations.

Binter Airline

Binter Airline is a Spanish airline based at Gran Canaria Airport. The airline is the regional air carrier which operates inter-island services within the Canary Islands and the Atlantic islands. The affiliated airlines operate on behalf of the Binter to Morocco, Western Sahara, Spain and Portugal. The current fleet consists of ATR 72-500, ATR 72-600 and Embraer 195-E2.

Egypt Air

Egyptair is the state-owned flag carrier of the country. The airline operates scheduled passenger and freight services in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, America and Africa. It is headquartered at Cairo International Airport and is a member of Star Alliance. The current fleet in the airline includes Airbus A220-300, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321neo, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Boeing 737–800, Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 787-9. The airline serves 87 destinations.

  • Egypt Air Ground Services provides services to over 75% of the air carriers flying to the country. The airline has in-flight services, has Tourism and duty free shops, medical services and supplementary industries.

Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways Ltd., also known as Kenya Airways, is a national flag carrier of the country and a member of African Airlines Association. Founded after the dissolution of East African Airways, in the year 1977, the company is now situated in Embakasi, Nairobi. Low-cost carrier Jambo jet and African Cargo Handling Limited are the two subsidiaries of Kenya Airways. The airline also has partly owned companies including Tanzanian carrier Precision Air and Kenya Airfreight Handling Limited.

By the year 2000, the airline had a fleet of four Airbus A310-300s, four Boeing 737-300s and two Boeing 737-200 Advanced. The company was running with a total staff of 2,780 which included engineers, 146 crew and 365 cabin crew at the same time. As of November 2017, the company has served 53 destinations in 41 countries.


Services:
  • A loyalty programme offered by Former Kenya Airways, Msafiri was merged with KLM’s Flying Dutchman in 1997, which was again merged with Air France and rebranded to Flying Blue in the year 2005. The members of the Flying Blue programme, Gold Elite and Platinum Elite offered a JV Lounge, a service which is provided to the passengers of Kenya Airways and the passengers flying with its partner airlines. Simba Lounge is given to the Business passengers of the Kenya Airways. Both the lounges are situated at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
In-Flight Entertainment:
  • In Kenya Airways, one can find different ways of entertainment depending on the aircraft and the class one travelled. The airline has an in-flight magazine called Msafiri which gets distributed to the passengers in all aircraft irrespective of the class one is travelling in. The In-Flight Entertainment includes:
  • Boeing 787-8 – Premier World entertainment is AVOD and NVOD is offered in Economy class.
  • Boeing 737-700/800 – Eight channels of audio and overhead screens in both classes.
  • Embraer 190 – In-seat individual touchscreens

Mauritania Airlines

Mauritania Airlines is an airline based in Nouakchott, serving as the flag carrier of the country. The Mauritanian airline was established in response to the demise of Mauritania Airways. It is the only airline which is operating its flights from the place. The current fleet of the airline consists of Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX 8, Embraer ERJ145LR and Embraer 175LR. The Mauritania Airlines have their short-haul flights which are mainly national connected between the Mauritanian airports and some of the airline to the other West African countries.

Oman Air

Being the national airline of the country, Oman Air is based at Muscat International Airport in Seeb. The flight operates domestic and international passenger services along with regional air taxi and charter flights. Oman Air operates a network of 50 destinations and 27 countries out of Muscat. The country has the most services in India covering 11 destinations. Before building the Aircraft Engineering Division, the company took over Gulf Air’s Light Aircraft Division in the year 1977.  Rapid increase in the civil aviation industry led to major facilities such as hangers, workshops and in-flight catering to increase the activity.


Services:
  • In compliance with the Islamic dietary laws, the meals which get served on board are prepared keeping the Halal guidelines. Special meals are available upon the passenger’s request. Oman Air is among the only five flights in the GCC to serve their passengers alcoholic beverages. These beverages are available on long international flights, but it is not served during the Ramadan season or on inter Middle East flights. There is a ban at Saudi Arabia and Iran routes where it is not allowed by the Islamic law. The flights are equipped with Wi-Fi and mobile network portability on board. There the passengers will have an option to flip through the pages of Wings of Oman, an inflight magazine, available in all classes of travel.
  • The frequent flyer program of the airline Oman Air, Sindbad. This has a three-tier Sindbad Blue, Sindbad Silver and Sindbad Gold managed directly by the airline. The first two require 20,000 Tier miles or flown 15 segments in a 12 months period and the last one requires 40,000 Tier miles or 30 Tier segments in a 12 months period to qualify and maintain. The Sindbad has a partnership agreement with the program of Etihad Airways and miles could be earned via many Sindbad partners. Oman Air was the Sponsor for the 2015 NBO Golf Classic Grand Final and Orphaned Palestinian children visited AL Khoudh child welfare centre.

Royal Brunei

Royal Brunei is the national flag carrier of the country. The airline is headquartered in RB Campus of Bandar Seri Begawan. It is owned by the Brunei Government. The hub is in Brunei International Airport in Berakas. It was established in 1974 and now operates in Southeast Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Middle East. The current fleet consists of Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo and Boeing 787-8.


Services:
  • The airline has a lounge called Skylounge at the Brunei International Airport which occupies the entire mezzanine floor at the departure hall of the place. The lounge is reserved for Royal Brunei’s business and economy class passengers and Royal Skies Gold and Silver members. The lounge can also be used by members of other airlines that have an agreement with Royal Brunei Airlines to use the service.
In-Flight Entertainment:
  • The airline doesn’t serve any alcoholic beverages for their passengers on board its flights. The Non-Muslim passengers are permitted to get their own alcohol for consumption on the airline. It reflects on the government’s policy on the sale and importation of alcohol in Brunei. The meals that are served are halal.
Cabins:
  • The Business class seats can be made into a full flat bed. Each seat is offered with a 15.4-inch, duo function in-seat personal TV with an in-seat power outlet. The Economy class seats can be recliend to around 6 inches from the upright position. At every seat there is a 9-inch, touch screen in-seat personal TV with USB charging capability along with the in-seat power outlet.

Loyalty Programme:
  • The airline’s loyalty program Royal Skies consists of three tiers. The members can earn miles on every flight or by using the products and services. The Blue card doesn’t carry any expiration date but the Silver and Gold members will have an expiry date which shows the benefits periods. The members must re-qualify for the Elite tier. With the expiration of Elite status in Blue card, the members of it will use their Blue card to start earning tier-qualifying miles again.

RwandAir

Airline is the flag carrier of Rwanda. The airline operates its domestic and international services to East Africa, Southern Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Europe Middle East and Asia, from the base at Kigali International Airport. The current fleet consists of Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Bombardier CRJ900ER and De Havilland Dash 8-400.

Skyup

The airline is a Ukrainian charter and low-cost airline. The main shareholders of the company were ACS-Ukraine LTD. Yuri Alba and Tayana Alba, who also owned the tour operator Join UP that was thought to cooperate with the airline to give charter flights for holiday packages. As of now the airline serves 55 destinations. The current fleet consists of Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-900ER, Boeing 737 MAX 8, Boeing 737 Max 10 in total. The operating bases of the airline are Boryspil International Airport, Kharkiv International Airport and Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport. At the launch the Skyup intended to operate charter flights to both Kyiv-Boryspil and Kyiv-Zhuliany, even Kharkiv, Lviv, Odessa and other places in the country.

SpiceJet

SpiceJet is an Indian airline, headquartered in Haryana. This airline is the second largest airline in the country with a market share of 13.6% as of March 2019. The Indian airline operates a daily 630 flights from its hubs at Delhi and Hyderabad. The company was acquired by Ajay Singh in the year 2004 and re-christened as SpiceJet. Having its first operation in May 2005, the airline now operates a fleet of Airbus A320-200, Airbus A330-900, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737 MAX, De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400,  De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 NextGen, Airbus A340-300, Boeing 737-700 BCF, Boeing 737-700 BDSF, Boeing 737-800 BCF and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400F aircraft.


Services:
  • The airline has changed from the low-cost carrier service model only seating. The flight now offers premium services under the name of SpiceMax, where the passengers will have additional advantages – pre-assigned seats with extra legroom, meals on board, priority check-in and boarding, baggage handling at a higher fare. Otherwise the airline doesn’t give any complimentary meals in any of its flights. It sells full in-flight meals on some flights. The company operates its frequent flyer programme but does not give any entertainment options.

TAP

TAP Air Portugal is the flag carrier of the airline of the country. The airline is headquartered at Lisbon Airport. It is a member of the Star Alliance. During its early decades of operation, the TAP airline expanded and launched several routes. The current fleet consists of Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A321LR, Airbus A321neo, Airbus A330-200 and Airbus A330-900.

Lounges:
  • TAP airline gives a Tap Premium Lounge, which is available to the Victoria Gold Winners and Star Alliance Gold members and passengers flying in the business class on Star Alliance flights and Blue Lounge is accessible to the Victoria Silver Winners on the flight.
Cabins:
  • The TAP airline doesn’t offer first-class services. On the medium-haul fleet, both the cabins are retrofitted with new leather seats. The executive class will offer better privacy and more meal options. On the long-haul fleet the cabin is divided into two-class layouts. The economy class of the new Airbus A330s, A330neos and A320LRs are equipped with LCDSs with a touch screen and a complete IFE. In the business class, the seats are capable of turning into lie-flat beds. The airline’s in-flight magazine is named UP and is available on board. The airline will also be the first to take on a new cabin layout called Airspace. The design will allow them to add more seats.
Frequent-Flyer Program:
  • The airline’s current loyalty program is Miles&Go which was replaced by the Victoria. The current programme is divided into 3 tiers and those are the basic tier, with no mileage requirements, TAP Miles&Go Silver and TAP Miles&Go Gold. The programme has a feature where some miles can be converted from regular award miles.

Tunis Air

Tunis Air is the national airline of the country. It was established in 1948 and operates its scheduled international services to four continents. The main base is in Tunis-Carthage International Airport. The airline has its head office in Tunis which is near the airport. The current fleet consists of Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 737-600. The frequent flyer program is Fidelys.
